In an exclusive interview with Hawzah News Agency correspondent, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Kazem Seyyed Baqeri underscored the inherently expansionist and criminal nature of the Israeli regime, stating that aggression and occupation are embedded in its very foundation.
"The Zionist regime has an anti-human and peace-disrupting nature," Seyyed Baqeri said. "It has always sought to exploit insecurity and regional crises to advance its own interests. Therefore, its breach of the ceasefire is entirely consistent with this pattern of behavior."
Iran's strategic response to Zionist violation
The academic commented on Iran's recent precision strikes against military targets in the occupied territories following the regime's renewed violation of the ceasefire and bombardment of Beirut's southern suburbs.
"If the Zionist regime perceives a weak or passive reaction, it will not only continue but also intensify the scope and severity of its attacks," he asserted. "Past experience proves that this regime only retreats in the face of power and deterrence. Any perception of weakness encourages further hostility."
Lebanon ceasefire breach voids entire agreement
Seyyed Baqeri emphasized that the Islamic Republic has never recognized a separation between different fronts of the Resistance. "A ceasefire only has meaning when it is respected in all agreed dimensions and areas. Therefore, violating the ceasefire in Lebanon cannot be seen as a limited or separate issue — such an act effectively nullifies the entire ceasefire agreement," he stated.
Resistance Front: A unified, interconnected structure
The scholar described the Resistance Front as a cohesive and united body, not a collection of disconnected factions. "Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Iran, and other components of the Resistance operate within a common framework and pursue shared goals," he explained. "The developments in any one part cannot be analyzed independently of the others."
Iran’s response must be painful and deterrent
Reiterating Iran's longstanding doctrine, Seyyed Baqeri stressed that weakness and passivity have no place in confronting threats. "Experience has shown that we cannot deal with aggression through weakness. Iran's response to any new act of aggression by the child-killing Israeli regime — whether against Iranian soil or any front of the Islamic Resistance — must be decisive, painful, and deterrent," he declared.
Drawing an analogy, he added: "The enemy, if it sees retreat or weakness, becomes bolder and more aggressive — like a wolf that grows more ferocious the more room it is given. Firm resistance and a decisive response can force the enemy to reconsider and even retreat."
Iran's missile operation: Red lines crossed
The analyst pointed to Iran's recent missile operation against the Zionist regime, noting that the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters had clearly stated that Israel had crossed Iran's red lines. "Iran's response was firm and proportionate to the level of the threat," he said. "If the regime chooses to react and continue its provocations, the Islamic Republic possesses the necessary capacity to intensify and expand its responses with even greater severity."
Resistance Front’s capacity to reshape regional equations
Seyyed Baqeri warned that continued Zionist aggression could activate other Resistance fronts across the region, particularly in Yemen and around strategic maritime corridors. Such a development, he said, would pose serious security challenges to both the United States and the Israeli regime.
"The activation of multiple Resistance fronts could fundamentally alter security equations for the US and Israel," he stated.
Domestic unity: A strategic necessity
Turning to internal affairs, the scholar emphasized that national unity and social cohesion are inseparable from military deterrence. "The strategy of unity must be continuously monitored, strengthened, and pursued across the entire Islamic nation," he urged.
He called for unity across all arenas — the battlefield, diplomacy, social activities, and even wartime conditions. "Any discord, division-mongering, or behavior that creates a rift among the people can damage national interests and the goals of the Resistance Front," he warned.
Preserving social capital, rejecting hate speech
Seyyed Baqeri cautioned against allowing public space to become polluted with vengeance, hatred, or insults. "Streets and social arenas must symbolize empathy, solidarity, and cohesion. Preserving social harmony is one of the most critical components of success in achieving great national and Islamic objectives," he said.

Concluding his remarks, the faculty member affirmed that maintaining unity does not mean ignoring differences but rather focusing on shared goals and common ground. "All segments of society must move along the path of the Resistance Front's lofty goals. By preserving cohesion and empathy, we can pave the way for ultimate victory and the defeat of the enemies," he said.
